D-Day

So Monday was our first day. I haven't been able to get a whole lot of free time lately, because playing Call of Duty is far too important these days. This is why I am writing this post after the fact.

Sunday Night log:

9:30 Taylor starts freaking out and trying to recall what all his rooms looked like, while simultaneously gathering a bunch of random school supplies together. Vlad plays Half-Life on his computer.

10:00 Taylor has preset the coffee machine and laid out all his clothes for the next day. Vlad plays Half-Life on his computer.

10:30 Deciding that he must go to bed at 11, Taylor reluctantly accepts Vlad's request to play Halo 3 for a little bit.

11:00 Taylor and Vlad are still playing Halo 3.

11:23 Taylor turns off the Xbox and decides to read for 15 minutes. He then sets his alarm for 7:00. Vlad then turns on his laptop and begins to view his class schedule.

11:42 Taylor curses because he will only get 7 hours of sleep if he is lucky. He then turns off the lights and closes his eyes. Vlad is on his laptop, downloading from Limewire.

12:00AM Vlad decides to noisily brush his teeth. He also takes this opportunity to turn the lights back on. Taylor grumbles and tries to sleep.

12:30 Vlad is playing his pirated copy of Halo on his laptop. Taylor is finally starting to drift off.

1:00 Vlad is playing far more vigorously now, and the rapid clicking of his mouse wakes Taylor up. Taylor then fumbles around for something to cover his head with, but then recalls how he only brought one pillow. He gets his laundry bag and covers his head in dirty laundry to silence the incessant clicking.

1:30 Vlad continues to play Halo.

2:00 Vlad continues to play Halo.

3:42 Vlad wakes Taylor up as he turns the lights back on, and goes out in the hall to relieve himself at the public bathroom. Taylor confoundedly stares at the clock, and angrily grumbles to Vlad that he will only be able to get a little more than 3 hours of sleep, before they have to get up. Vlad defends himself by claiming that he'll be fine.

7:00 Taylor wakes up confused, then realizes what's going on. He makes the coffee, takes a shower, and attempts to wake Vlad. Vlad continues sleeping.

1:48 pm Taylor returns from his classes and lunch to find Vlad playing Halo. Taylor is suprised to find that Vlad actually made it to his classes. Taylor then naps.

The last few days haven't been too different though. I hope we can figure out a better system.

As I did my Microeconomics homework, and wrote this post, Vlad played Halo.

The day after yesterday...

Today we slept in. We wanted to leave to FoCo to get Vlad's pillow, which he forgot. We planned to wake up at 8, but that somehow became 11, and then we decided not to go.

We ate breakfast.

Then we came back to our rooms, and played Half-Life two. We both have it on our separate laptops. I bought a copy, and Vlad pirated one.

Vlad enjoys manipulating the game's outdated engine to spawn Zombies in the middle of heavily populated cutscenes. The NPCs in each cutscene are not programed to fight, so it's generally a massacre. This is obviously very gory and funny. For some reason, it also takes up hours of potentially useful time.

On another note, we've found that playing Halo 3 is a seemingly valuable social skill for our floor. As one can imagine, Vlad and I will now play it non stop, so we can hopefully become indomitable.

We also did some school stuff, but who cares about that?
